Guthrie Medical Group is pleased to announce the opening of the Chair, Oncology Service Line position.

Reporting to Dr. Joseph Ronsivalle, President of Guthrie Medical Group, this physician leader will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across our comprehensive oncology program, including Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. The Chair will partner closely with the Chair of Medicine, Chair of Surgery, and the Vice President of Service Line Integration and Development to strengthen multidisciplinary cancer care, advance quality and safety outcomes, and guide program growth across all Guthrie sites.

This opportunity is open to physicians who primarily practice oncology--including medical, surgical, or radiation oncology--who have demonstrated excellence in patient care, collaboration, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a cohesive oncology service line strategy across the system.
• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration between Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncology.
• Champion quality and safety initiatives aligned with ASCO, Joint Commission, and national standards.
• Support clinical research, academic partnerships, and teaching initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing physician and APP team.
• Partner with administrative dyads to manage operations, budgets, and strategic growth.
• Collaborate with hospital, nursing, and system leaders to promote consistent cancer care across the continuum.

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO, board certified in Medical, Surgical, or Radiation Oncology (or related specialty).
• 7-10+ years of progressive leadership in oncology or complex healthcare systems.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary programs.
• Proven ability to build consensus and lead through influence.
• Strong communication, vision, and collaboration skills.
