Phoenix Children’s and the Division of Hospital Medicine are seeking an Associate Program Director to help lead our established, ACGME-accredited, 2-year Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship program. Our program hosts a total of 6 fellows who play an integral role in medical education for Phoenix Children’s large pediatric residency program.
As the only PHM fellowship program in Arizona, we are committed to training exceptional pediatric hospitalists by providing a diverse clinical experience. Our mission is to provide the support, opportunities, and mentorship needed to build skills as a pediatric hospitalist and a scholar in the field of pediatric hospital medicine.
Responsibilities include providing mentorship for fellows’ scholarly projects and assisting the Program Director in the education, evaluation, and recruitment of our fellows as well as ongoing program management and maintenance of accreditation.
Our Division, composed of over 60 faculty across three sites, nurtures a variety of clinical, educational, quality improvement and research interests. Our faculty also hold academic appointments at the University of Arizona, Creighton University and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Minimum qualifications include board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Experience in research, quality improvement and medical education leadership is preferred. The anticipated start date is Summer 2024.
