The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Provider Data and Credentialing (the Director) is responsible for the integrity and reliability of Clinician Provider Data across AdventHealth encompassing more than 20,000 active medical staff members, 3600 employed providers and over 80,000 affiliated non-credentialed providers. Accurate and reliable provider data is imperative to the functionality of the electronic medical record (Epic), provider credentialing, revenue cycle, managed care, and consumer activities across AdventHealth which cares for over eight million patients per year including over 360,000 inpatient discharges per year in fifty-two acute care and over one hundred ambulatory facilities in 9 states. AdventHealth processes and verifies more than 10,000 new or renewal medical staff credentials applications every year.
Directed by AdventHealth Senior Leadership, The Director is responsible for the effective deployment and maintenance of a new Provider Data system, MD-Staff, and the transition of data from our current platform MSOW to MD-Staff while ensuring integrity and continuity of provider data for all functionalities. The Director is responsible for facilitating the effective content integration of MD-Staff into and with Epic, medical staff office, managed care and consumer functions and applications. The Director provides system level leadership for the safe and effective use of the provider data platform by all Division, Region, facility, managed care, and ambulatory medical staff office support functions.
AdventHealth has made the decision to standardize credentialing verification processes across the health system. Standardized credentialing processes are expected to improve data integrity, Epic, consumer, and revenue cycle functionality as well as improve efficiency and provider satisfaction of the credentialing process. The Director is responsible for leadership of market and corporate efforts to create, develop and implement standardized credentialing processes across our four health system Divisions. The Director is responsible for leading and managing the corporate team in the management of non-credentialed provider data, auditing system data integrity, developing system wide training and KPI’s for provider data performance as well as monitoring performance across all entities. The Director will lead system wide governance of the standardized credentialing process and ensure that there is adherence to the relevant requirements of regulatory and accreditation bodies. The Director provides leadership and advice to all Division, Region and facility provider data and medical staff office leaders.
The Director actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The Director is an expert on provider data and credentialing and plays a key role as both a strategic and tactical leader for managing provider data across AdventHealth leading the governance, prioritization, efficiency, impact to credentialing processes, and assessments of innovations and emerging technology.
The Director will have a close, collaborative relationship with the Chief Medical Officer, corporate clinical, information technology, consumer, managed care, and revenue cycle leadership as well as market executive and provider data and credentialing processes leadership.

·In collaboration with AIT, responsible for effective design, development, deployment, and sustainment of MD-Staff provider data software platform across AdventHealth including leadership and management of subject matter experts and consultants to ensure effective and appropriate health system functionality.
·Effective design, development, deployment, and sustainment of Standardized Credentialing Verification Processes across AdventHealth including updating and maintenance of written CVP playbook, policies, procedures.
·Lead and collaborate closely with Division / Region Credential Verification Offices and market Medical Staff Offices to facilitate MD-Staff and System standardized credentialing verification processes.
·Lead management of system non-credentialed provider data to ensure Epic functionality.
·Develop and deploy credentialing verification processes training materials, KPI’s and system dashboards.
·Lead AdventHealth Credentialing Verification Process governance.
·Ensure Provider data integrity and functionality for Epic, Consumer, Revenue Cycle Managed Care, and other stakeholders.
·Maintain collegial collaboration with all provider data stakeholders.
·Ensure sustained desirable provider satisfaction with standardized credentialing verification process across AdventHealth.
·Oversee AdventHealth Corporate provider data integrity personnel, processes, auditing, training, and system performance monitoring and dashboards.
·Provide leadership in the AdventHealth Executive Provider Data Steering Committee.
·Responsible for effective stewardship and budgeting of resources applied to management of provider data and the standardized credentialing process.
·Participate in National Provider Data Forums and Societies to advance AdventHealth understanding of national best practices in managing provider data and credentialing as well as advance the stature of AdventHealth at the national level.
·Bring forward innovation in technology and processes to advance management of provider data and credentialing.
·Creates effective team environments and advances professional development of team members.
·Direct leadership and supervision of Corporate Provider Data and Credentialing team and accountability for leadership influence of all system-wide Provider Data, Credentialing and Medical Staff Office Directors and teams.
·Directly supervises the Corporate Provider Data team.
·Leads by Influence all Division / Region Facility Provider Data and Medical Staff Office Directors and teams
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Baccalaureate Degree
·Minimum 10 years medical staff office, credentialing, and provider data management experience
·Minimum 7 years leadership at a Health System level.
·Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience of a regional or higher Credentialing Verification Organization
NAMSS CPMSM Certification.
NAMSS CPCS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Master’s degree in healthcare, analytics, business administration or related field
·Demonstrated leadership at the regional or national relevant professional society.
·Understanding and experience in analytics and creating relational databases.
·Lean Six Sigma training and experience.
