The Vice President of Recruitment, Organizational Development and Learning will develop, implement, and measure Geisinger’s talent strategies and programs related to talent identification, attraction, acquisition, selection, joining, development and retention for all departments, entities, regions, and service lines across Geisinger. This role will be accountable for achieving the systems’ regulatory compliance objectives related to talent management, talent metrics, and operational and capital budget controls. This leader must be a relationship-builder capable of strengthening the current talent management strategies and programs by partnering closely with members of system leadership to meet the current and future talent needs. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who digs into the current systems and uncovers inefficiencies to improve results, which will bring fresh, new ideas for process enhancements and creative ways to engage with internal and external customers. This key leadership role will play an integral part in the strategic goals of attracting impactful talent that matches the vision and values of Geisinger and assisting the organization in building its capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness by developing, improving, and reinforcing strategies, structures, and processes. Responsible for the organization's talent and learning strategy and working with business and HR leaders to create the required culture and behaviors to deliver.
Partner with HR leaders to develop strategic workforce plans (SWP), which are closely aligned with the business strategy and anticipate labor and skill shortages in the future (including contingency staffing).
Understand drivers and critical factors influencing employee engagement and partner with others to develop approaches to increase engagement across the system.
Partners with peers and direct reports to analyze data, develop strategies, and measure results in partnership with members of HR to engage and retain employees.
Develop and execute enterprise-wide talent management strategies and programs to assess, develop, and move talent throughout the organization.
Partner with other leaders to identify internal talent ready for promotion; create career development paths and talent mobility programs.
Utilize best-in-class programs and processes for assessment, design, development, communication, delivery, metrics, and reporting.
Partner with leadership to proactively identify the organization's needs by developing formal frameworks and career pathways in partnership with local, regional, and national educational institutions and internal training and certification programs.
Partner with HR leaders to create, implement, and measure talent strategies and programs that develop critical capabilities to fulfill business needs and offer a variety of career progression and life cycles, workloads, locations, schedules, and roles.
Partner with other HR leaders to execute a comprehensive plan to build a sustainable talent pipeline and foster a talent mindset across the system.
Accurately interpret, utilize, and communicate an understanding of placement rate goals, the process for establishing job groups determined to be underutilized, establishing and measuring Good Faith Efforts, adverse impact, and other potential barriers to attracting, hiring, promoting, and retaining a diverse talent community.
Educate and collaborate with hiring managers to promote relationships at target universities and develop pipelines through programs such as internships, externships, residencies, fellowships, etc.
Implement technology and systems to streamline processes related to organization design and development; develop and implement systems and metrics to track the success of career development, talent bench, and succession programs.
Leverage relationships with internal and external partners to assess the competition and implement measurable (key metrics) talent attraction strategies and programs.
Demonstrate expertise on the talent brand (Employee Value Proposition) and how it relates to the consumer brand; develop active and passive strategies for specific roles, regions, and platforms.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all applicable laws and regulations and the ability to screen qualified applicants based on minimum and preferred qualifications.
Engage and partner with key stakeholders to create and implement standard work that delivers a well-coordinated and synchronized onboarding experience. Develop and utilize reports, analytics, and data related to enhancing the first 90 days of employment, improving first-year performance, and increasing first-year retention.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a related field required.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of experience in human resources and leadership in healthcare.
