The Department of Emergency and Hospital Medicine (DOEHM)/Acute Care Service Line is recruiting a Vice Chair of Research who will be charged with growing a nationally recognized research program that published 49 manuscripts in the past academic year. The successful candidate will have an MD or DO degree and be board certified in either emergency medicine or internal medicine and will work clinically at Lehigh Valley Health Network and will hold an academic appointment with the University of South Florida- Morsani College of Medicine. With an outstanding record of research productivity, the individual will be expected generating and supporting ethical research initiatives among DOEHM staff (RNs, Residents, Fellows, Medical Students, and Advanced Practice Providers).
Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong leadership skills with sound theoretical and practical knowledge in management. Additional preference will be given to candidates with formal academic research training and grant writing expertise.
