We are looking for a Physician Contracting Manger to join our Managed Care team in Nashville, TN!

Lead the management and negotiation of the managed care agreements between ScionHealth physician practices and various payer organizations.   This includes the negotiation of Commercial, Healthcare Exchange, Medicare and Medicaid contracts physicians, rural health clinics and physician extenders.  Work in conjunction with the Group Leadership to support ScionHealth’s overall managed care and operational strategies.

 

Helps coordinate and communicate the contract requirements to each physician practice manager within the market.  Responds to internal & external queries directly, and forwards others to appropriate Department staff when necessary.  Participates in physician revenue cycle meetings and activities and serves as a liaison between managed care and the Revenue Cycle and Physician Practice Management Teams. Assists the SDMC in preparing documents and reports necessary for contract approvals and contract performance. Supports necessary functions to ensure contract integrity within the contract management system. Maintains and provides contract activity logs on a consistent basis.

May be hired at a different level depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Education and Special Certifications…)

 ·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, business, finance, accounting.

·       Managed Care negotiating experience for physicians for multiple product lines.

·       Word/Excel skills.

·       Clinical and medical technology knowledge.

·       Work requires between 1-5 years Physician Contracting experience for Health Plans or Providers.
