More than 800 physicians, 450+ advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services.
AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the acquisition of products in a manner that is conducive to the operational flow of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). Understands and is supportive of the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for the processing of purchase orders using a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), AdventHealth System (AH) and/or AdventHealth Orlando purchasing agreements. Performs on-going searches for cost-saving opportunities to reduce the cost of supplies, freight and equipment. Maintains reports documenting cost-savings. Targets vendors for implementation of automated ordering process. Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, including processing of invoices and tracking within department standards. When applicable, takes appropriate action to ensure AHMG is receiving cash payment terms.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Oversees and manages the day-to-day procurement operations to ensure optimal processing and efficient placement of purchase orders before cut-off time; reviews confirmations, returns, and resolution of invoice discrepancies (e.g., variance processing, correct pricing, ship priority, etc.); and expedites orders when necessary. Monitors and completes open purchase order reports to resolution and ensures vendor confirmations are being handled appropriately.
Identifies and analyzes issues impacting the procurement process, and coaches’ team to effectively manage those issues by providing time to staff to do site visits.
Maintains working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relevant to products and technologies used in healthcare.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with legal services, management, compliance, internal audit, and finance to support regulatory and business requirements.
Assesses and interprets data relative to supply chain performance measures.
Budgeting - participate in annual budget preparation; responsible to keep revenues and expenses within budget guidelines.
Oversees capital purchases, rentals and equipment purchases; negotiates with vendors for best pricing and ensures proper approval process is completed.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry including operational improvement involvement and/or demonstrated project management
Preferred qualifications:
1 year of leadership experience in a related field
