The role you’ll contribute:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Supply Chain & Business Services, the Sustainability Director will manage the overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the sustainability work across the AdventHealth system. This individual is an integral leader, managing the sustainability team, developing strategy, leading content development, communicating with various key stakeholders and regional/divisional leaders, representing the team in executive forums, and implementing aspects of the work to ensure that the goals and objectives are met.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Serve as an active business partner alongside the Executive Director with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Chief Investment Officer in the strategic development and vision of sustainability work across the organization
- Manage overall sustainability project status and status communication to Executive Director and stakeholders via frequent updates and formal progress reports
- Collaborate with the team to set workstream objectives, define interim milestones, and propose approach
- Work closely with the team to track project progress towards meeting objectives as well as identifying and mitigating possible deviations from established plans and timelines
- Responsible for managing and developing relationships with various levels of executives across the organization to progress work forward
- Oversee environmental inventory data system platform and recurring inventory analysis to determine organizational trends, identify gaps and performance opportunities as necessary, assist in crafting potential solutions, and build organizational awareness of environmental footprint and strategy
- Work closely with Executive Director to develop high-level reports and presentations for executive teams
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of five years of experience in a previous environmental sustainability role(s)
- Three to five years of leadership experience managing project and/or program managers and developing c-suite presentations and communications
- Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or equivalent
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Previous experience working in the healthcare industry
