State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.About the opportunity: This position is responsible for planning, overseeing, and evaluating daily operations associated with the procurement and management of all stock and non-stock (e.g. new, single use, contract conversion or customer-made) supplies utilized by the perioperative services function to meet needs on a regional basis in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. What you will do: Collaborates with customers and supply chain personnel to identify optimal sources for all OR related products needed.Manages the acquisition, storage, flow and tracking of all products in the OR setting.Develops, implements and monitors quality improvement initiatives to enhance processes to result in positive financial performance.Ensures that overall department goals relating to accuracy, productivity and customer satisfaction (internal and external) are achieved.Supervises subordinate staff engaged in procuring, tracking, maintaining and safeguarding OR supplies, instrumentation and equipment.Participates in budget preparation and administration with accountability for supply chain budget performance.Ensures all staff (Physicians, management, staff etc.) materials needs are met and that applicable procedures are understood and followed.Manages values analysis and contract management functions with regard to the process of evaluating and introducing new products into the system.Oversees OR procurement management and assures that procedures are effective and meets inventory and customer / department needs.Assists in preference card management and related process support.Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.Performs other duties as assigned.
