GENERAL OVERVIEWThe Administrator - Trauma Trust is responsible for operational oversight, financial viability, and strategy implementation of the Trauma Trust mission over both Tacoma General, and St. Josephs Medical Centers in Tacoma, Washington. The Administrator will also work in a dyad relationship with the Trauma Medical Director on ensuring quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance for all designated trauma programs. This position works in collaboration with senior leadership, trauma program directors, and associated medical staff in a way that builds and sustains a high performing trauma program. The Administrator position requires independent judgement and discretion in decision making which varies widely in their nature and impact, interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies and programs, complex data analysis, problem-solving, and strong fiscal, organization and leadership skills. This position also requires an ability to build rapport and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to include communities, board members, regulatory and governmental agencies, peer programs across the state, stakeholders across all impacted hospitals, and the provider enterprise. Operational Oversight
Accountable for effective management of financial, human, material, and informational resources
Establishes and directs sound fiscal practices that result in positive financial outcomes
Develops, presents, and manages operational budgets for care delivery services
Manages financial resources through business planning, resource management, accounting and project management for care provisions within contracts, affiliations, and agreements
Participates in negotiating contract agreements in conjunction with Medical Director and Hospital leadership with all applicable contracts
Accountable for all administrative, payroll, and human resource management responsibilities of the Trust
Acts as a liaison with outside agencies such as government bodies and insurance companies.
Keeps informed of trends in practice administration and healthcare regulations.
Analyzes practice data, including patient satisfaction, quality, practice hours, scheduling, staffing, physician availability and reimbursement, to identify opportunities for improvement. Utilizing results, gains physician support and implements specific initiatives to enhance performance and optimize workflow.Minimum RequirementsTen (10) years recent administrative leadership experience, which preferably includes experience in physician practice management, clinical operationsDemonstrated track record and successful ability to work with physicians and physician groups in a collaborative manner.Education/Licenses/CertificationsMaster's degree in related field.
