$202,488 - $244,476 annually, depending on experience

In this key leadership role, you will:

• Develop, direct, and control implementation and quality assurance of the health care delivery system in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations’ (CDCR) correctional institutions within your assigned region
• Ensure that the provisions and delivery of health care services are in compliance with court mandates and State and Federal regulations; and consistent with community standards, legal mandates, and CCHCS/CDCR strategic goals
• Mentor and coach Chief Executive Officers, Regional Medical, Nursing, Mental Health, Dental Executives, and health care delivery managers throughout your region

This executive opportunity is available within CCHCS’ Fresno Regional Office.  The largest metropolitan city in the San Joaquin Valley, Fresno features family-friendly neighborhoods and a wide range of amenities.  Here, you can enjoy a variety of activities, including exploring Yosemite National Park, discovering regional wineries, or cheering on the Fresno State Bulldogs.

To qualify for this position you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Medical Management or a related field and a minimum five years of experience in health care administration or medical management, which must include at least four years with responsibility for supervision of a broad variety of clinical, administrative, management and clinical support services in a setting comparable to a large hospital, health maintenance organization, or other health system.

Desirable qualifications include experience working within a correctional institution and well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with top level administrators, diverse staff, the general public, and other governmental agencies.
