HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, East Jefferson General Hospital (EJGH) in Metairie, LA for the Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer over the Medical Group.  EJGH is a 420-bed acute care facility located in Jefferson Parrish with 3,000 FTEs and 650 physicians on staff.  EJGH is an award-winning hospital with a 5-time Magnet Designation, 5-Star CMS rating, CareChex #1 Ranking, and the #2 Brand in the New Orleans market.  Louisiana Children's Medical Center Health (LCMC Health) is a nonprofit network of healthcare providers in Southern Louisiana, based out of New Orleans. Members include academic centers, acute care facilities, and research hospitals.

East Jefferson General Hospital is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer that works to strategically plan, lead, and manage all business aspects of LCMC Health Holdings, Inc. dba East Jefferson General Hospital's Physician Group's (EJPG, EJPN, MPSI) in order to meet Hospital goals, customer needs, and promote the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient focused medical services.  Is responsible for working with the medical staff to seek out joint ventures or other business related opportunities and to maintain the business aspects of such ventures.  The VP, CAO will work in a dyad relationship with the Chief Physician Officer of the Medical Group and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of EJGH.  The VP, CAO is responsible for directing processes that meet or exceed cost, quality, clinical and utilization standards and performance measures; ensures that services meet external and internal clients’ needs in a changing, competitive health care market.  EJGH is seeking an innovative leader that will bring the medical group together under one Profit & Loss statement, drive recruitment strategies, improve and measure operational & financial performance and be a champion for the hospital, medical group and community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, healthcare or related degree.
• Master’s Degree in Business, Health Administration or Public Policy is required.

Experience

• Seven (7) years of healthcare administration experience in a large and complex setting with direct responsibility for cost/revenue centers, designing and implementing business plans, and managing staff in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Five (5) years of experience leading complex strategic initiatives, which impact multiple service lines, and levels of leadership. 5 years of progressive responsibility in progressively responsible management position

Metairie, Jefferson Parish’s largest community, is located on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain between New Orleans and Kenner.
