ScionHealth is recruiting for a Director, Human Resources to join our Human Resources team in Louisville, Kentucky.

Summary:

Directs employee relations and ensures compliance with all applicable corporate and legislative guidelines. Provides advice/guidance to management on employee relations matters. Works under general direction.

Essential Functions:

• Directs employee relations activities. Meets management and affected staff members to investigate/obtain documentation on employee relations problems and recommends/implements action necessary to resolve conflicts.
• Monitors employee relations problems to determine trends and recommends/develops policies/ procedures to correct inequities. Consults with Law Department staff and acts as a company representative in legal actions as directed.
• Develops Corporate strategies by identifying and researching HR issues.
• Supports management by providing HR advice, counsel and decisions.
• Maintains Corporate Human Resources Policies and Procedures. Obtains appropriate senior management approvals and reviews policies/procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with legal/legislative requirements. Distributes/disseminates new/revised policies/procedures.
• Manages background checks for the enterprise.
• Keeps abreast of developments in employee relations, EEO, OSHA, Workers' Compensation and related legislation/reporting requirements, and ensures compliance.
• Participates in community relations activities as required. Acts as company representative at meetings/events/activities as needed.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of employee relations, EEO/AA programs, and related legislation/reporting requirements required.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management/staff also required.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or the equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years progressive Human Resources generalist experience with at least three years in a managerial role required
