Overview

Responsible for supporting Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International in advancing their data analytics maturity by furthering data collection, analysis, and reporting practices. The Project Manager, Data Analytics serves as an expert in using data and business intelligence (BI) to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. The Project Manager, Data Analytics will be responsible for gathering data in different ways: mining JCR and JCI data, looking at national data and industry trends, and looking at potential new data sources across the Joint Commission enterprise. This position will also be responsible for developing a data analytics annual roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with the Director, Strategic Initiatives and Data Analytics to lead data analytic efforts across both JCR and JCI.

• Works with internal stakeholders to build an understanding of the business to determine business requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop BI and data warehouse strategy.

• Works with business and IT teams to design and document dashboards, alerts and reports.

• Conducts analyses of functional business processes and functional business requirements and participates in the development of business cases in the support of process changes to support BI projects.

• Provides data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensures the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.

• Educates and trains stakeholders to use the data as an analytics tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration.

• Uses complex computer programs to mine data sources and look for trends. Determines what the trends mean and how they impact the company.

• Partners with multidisciplinary and cross-divisional teams to execute and drive business intelligence opportunities.
• Establishes and communicates key data, metrics and presentations for reporting, leadership review and approval, and enterprise communications.

• Maintains knowledge of current trends within the business intelligence community by participating in business intelligence training, web conferences, and/or other available modes.

• Other special projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Business Intelligence or related field required, masters preferred.
• 5 or more years work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business intelligence role.
• Extensive computer skills in business intelligence software, specifically with Microsoft Power BI, as well as the entire Microsoft suite of applications: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
• Strong operational, presentation, analytic, critical thinking, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• The ability to prioritize and handle multiple, extensive and diverse projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Ability to travel, as required.
