James J Peters VA Medical Center is seeking a Chief of Medicine who will provide administrative and programmatic leadership to oversee and accomplish its mission in clinical care, research and education. Successful candidates must qualify for an appointment at a rank of Associate or full Professor, show evidence of high potential for leadership of an academic program, and have the ability to initiate a strategic vision for the department, while working collaboratively to accomplish mutual goals. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
