JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Data Management Specialist's primary responsibility is for the maintenance of the contingent worker population within HR system (Workday). Coordination with departments throughout the organization to appropriately manage this population within the systems. Perform audit procedures for validating the accuracy of the information with the system.
Primary contact for contingent workers to assist departments, monitor and audit contingent workers, etc.
Coordinate with areas, such as IT, to ensure the contingent worker population is appropriately managed for data and system security purposes.
Ensure employee records in core HR systems align with current standards. Perform routine checks, validation, and audits to ensure the integrity of the data in the systems is 100% compliant and accurate based on what has been provided or submitted through system workflows.
Performs audit procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data
Maintain data in HR system ensuring information is available on a timely basis by performing group data updates (mass loading), exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/report on any data discrepancies. Monitor data integrity that flows to downstream systems; research issues for the root cause; and engage the necessary resources to resolve them.
Help support data quality initiatives by maintaining data integrity in systems using queries, reports, dashboards, and data analysis.
Manage critical elements of employment data and documents and process sophisticated data updates, partnering cross-functionally with teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of data within our HR system.
CUSTOMER SERVICE (INTERMEDIATE): A continuing focus on the needs and requirements of customers, anticipating their needs, remaining sensitive to customers while performing services for them, responsive to customer needs.
DATA ENTRY (ADVANCED): The ability to transcribe information from the original source into an electronic system according to written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately.
PAYROLL (INTERMEDIATE): Knowledge of payroll processing including entry of employee information, tax, benefits and other deductions, use of the appropriate payroll software or interaction with outside payroll services, and exception processing. Knowledge of payroll reporting such as earning statements, payroll journals, department summaries, cash positions, and tax liabilities and deposits.
DOCUMENT AUDITING (INTERMEDIATE): Auditing is conducting an independent review and examination of records and activities in order to test the adequacy and effectiveness of procedures, policies, standards, rules, capabilities and other aspects to ensure compliance with established policy and operational procedures, and to recommend any necessary changes.
Organizational Impact: Performs non-routine tasks that significantly impact team's performance with minimal guidance.
Problem Solving/ Complexity of work: Conducts research and analysis to solve some non-routine problems.
