Description

The ERP Implementation Manager is responsible for leading an entire ERP project through initiation, planning, execution, control, and completion.

Project Management and Leadership

Demonstrate expertise in CCHMC's IS project management processes. Serve as project lead, consultant and or mentor for implementation and maintenance of complex information systems. Expert in developing and managing project plans, timelines and project activities. Advanced in skills related to preparing and delivering oral and written presentations as part of the project life cycle. Coordinate, facilitate and participate in relationships, both internal and external to CCHMC. Facilitate cross-functional work teams, that include internal employees, technical support, operations, personnel, vendor consultants, clinicians, hospital administration, hospital executives and end users. Provide regular updates and status reports for IS Management and customers. Ensure timely escalation of issues when necessary.

Technology Re-design

Facilitate the process of technology analysis and improvement. Enable groups to define and understand their current technology profile and their future needs. Work with IS technical resources to define technical criteria for selection of vendor solutions and coordinate vendor selection process. Acquire advanced knowledge in order to facilitate the identification and understanding of key project requirements and issues. Recruit expert resources to ensure state of the art technology is presented and evaluated.

Mentor/Team Leadership

Mentor other Project Managers. Lead the design and refinement of IT project management processes. Lead internal IS activities as needed. Where applicable, manage junior employees, including performance management, career development etc.

Process Redesign

Facilitate the process of workflow analysis and improvement. Enable groups to define and understand their current workflows and identify areas for improvement and redesign. Provide clear diagrams of current and future process flow, being able to coordinate analysis of cause and effect of changes. Coordinate appropriate technical/application resources to provide a thorough understanding of synthesis of changes to systems and processes. Understand the complexity of change management in a large academic health care institution and guide groups to evaluate options that are meaningful and possible.

Customer Service

Ensure that project governance, key stakeholders, and teams are kept informed of project process and issues. Manage multidisciplinary discussions to ensure that each group understands the process and technical concerns of other groups. Work with IS management to coordinate enterprise communication. Ensure that outstanding end-user support is provided; adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers. Always maintain CCHMC's service standards of being Courteous, Attentive, Respectful and Enthusiastic team members, and Safe (CARES). All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
