Job Summary
Works with leadership to identify enterprise application software needs and oversees activities to deliver appropriate business and aligned solutions. Manages a team of resources and responsible for ensuring adequate resources are allocated based on project requirements. Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher management levels.
Job Duties
- Assumes primary responsibility for the application administration team regarding job performance.
- Assists with the budget process regarding system, utility, and application software strategy.
- Investigates, reviews, and recommends new software tools, application platforms, monitoring, and performance enhancement tools and creates a detailed roadmap for the application of those tools.
- Assesses the need for, facilitates the acquisition of, and maintains an inventory of applications, software, and related tools and processes that assist in performing application management including automation.
- Ensures there is an effective system performance problem reporting process that is being followed Performs application administration activities in addition to overseeing team work activities.
- Ensures the efficient and effective use of application administration activities through the development and monitoring of KPIs.
- Reports status and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develops training and mentoring activities for the application administration team to develop relevant skills and competencies.
- Identifies the need for and develops necessary training for other IT and business areas to understand the overall process and their roles in application administration efforts.
- Acts as a project leader and a subject matter expert on multiple and complex projects.
- Provides oversight into all activities of the team.
- Responsible for all human resource activities for the team, including hiring, performance management, contributing to increase and promotion recommendations, career development, corrective action, and recommendations for termination.

Position Details
- Provide day-to-day Informatica (MDM, EDC, Axon, PowerCenter, IDQ, IICS, etc) infrastructure administration support, including but not limiting to Linux, Windows, Oracle, MSSQL Server and Tidal;
- Provide recommendation and support for administration of team based development;
- Develop and interpret policies and procedures for best practices to be adhered to by developers and or team administrators;
- Identify, recommend and implement ETL process and architecture improvements;
- Evaluate Informatica technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as software upgrades and other supporting tools;
- Assist with or perform independently the scheduling and implementing of required software patches and upgrades;
- Install, configure, and administer the Informatica platform for maximum utilization and throughput;
- Coordinate with appropriate system administrators, Platform Services teams, and Database Administrators as needed to complete project goals;
- Assist with code reviews and design creation for ongoing projects and new projects;
- Assist with or perform development towards automation of monitoring Informatica environments using supported Informatica code languages;
- Be responsible for Informatica code, catalog and security promotions from one environment to another environment;
- Ensure that all systems and procedures adhere to organizational best practices;
- Support production jobs with performance tuning and troubleshooting issues;
- Participates in 24x7 on-call support;
- Communicate any successes, struggles, challenges, or change requests in a timely fashion before escalations would be needed;
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
