The role you’ll contribute:
This position acts as a consultative resource for related risk management information for all AdventHealth entities/facilities. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining system-wide programs and processes to evaluate and reduce both clinical and non-clinical risks with the goal of increasing quality of care and protection of assets across all AdventHealth facilities/entities through data gathering, analysis, benchmarking, educational initiative, actions plans, auditing, monitoring and other activities. This position is also responsible for the development of system-wide risk management standards when indicated.

Risk Knowledge
- Effectively keeps abreast of risk management industry trends including regulatory updates, loss control, and data analysis.
- Shares industry trends that could impact the system or individual AdventHealth entities / facilities
- Effectively provides appropriate recommendations for the development of new or additional corporate-wide risk management standards, policies, procedures, etc., as assigned.
Risk Management Consultative Services
- Responds timely and appropriately to inquiries and requests from AdventHealth facilities, AdventHealth corporate departments, other personnel, and any external parties.
- Works collaboratively and effectively with external consultants in the design, planning and implementation of corporate loss control initiatives.
- Effectively represents AdventHealth Risk Management on committees as assigned or required
Data Analysis
- Works collaboratively with the Risk Management Data Systems team and Clinical Risk Clinical/Data Analysts in formulating data trends and analysis.
- Provides appropriate input when working collaboratively with Risk Data Systems team.
Management of Loss Control Initiatives
- Works collaboratively and effectively to assist AdventHealth facilities in their efforts to address opportunities for improvements identified as a result of AdventHealth loss control initiatives.
- Communicates loss control initiative results and recommendations to AdventHealth facility leadership.
- Manages complex system-wide projects, ensuring on time completion of a quality product.
Risk Management Education
- Facilitates appropriate and effective risk management-related educational opportunities for AdventHealth facilities.
- Prepares and provides risk management-related reports and presentations as assigned or requested.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare risk management experience
- RN Licensure
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Management (CPHRM)
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
- 2 years of experience with healthcare project management including consulting with executives and department leaders in a multi-campus environment
