Responsible for the management of assigned clinical and non-clinical programs over multiple locations. Clinical programs may include crisis intervention services in the Unity emergency department (PES), behavioral health response teams located at multiple locations, utilization management and non-clinical programs may include Access and Referral services, resource coordination and caring contacts. This position may have multiple supervisors as direct reports. Provides clinical and administrative leadership to teams who are charged with the provision of comprehensive, patient-centered, quality behavioral health care, in a Trauma Informed and Recovery Centered model of care.Establishes appropriate staffing levels and work assignments for multiple programs, assuring financial/budgetary stewardship and efficient use of resources, and providing appropriate staff development, coaching, and mentoring. Facilitates excellent communications and customer/ patient services through enhancement of professional/public relationships both internally and externally.
Unity Center for Behavioral Health is a 24-hour behavioral and mental health services center located in the greater Portland metropolitan area. We provide immediate psychiatric care and a path to stabilization and recovery for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Unity Center offers mental health treatment to adults and adolescents aged 9 to 17. We also have the only emergency department specifically for behavioral health emergencies in Oregon. The Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) serves adults 18 and older. We believe in a trauma informed approach to assessment and treatment. Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral health field as required by licensure.
Experience: Minimum of four years of clinical experience in behavioral health is required. Minimum of two years of leadership experience required. Experience working in leadership role with clinical specialty areas of Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder, budget oversight, scheduling, staffing and continuous quality improvement desired. Prior supervisor or manager experience preferred.
