Your day.
As the Data Architecture Manager you will organize and manage the daily operations of the EBA Data Architecture and Analytics department. Sets rules, policies, standards and models that govern and define the type of data collected and how it is used, stored, managed and integrated within the team and its database systems. Analyze system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data. Expertise with SQL and Oracle is also required. Work to raise the analytics maturity of the entire organization through mentoring, leading analytic workgroups, consulting, and architecting innovative solutions.
In this role you need to know how to:
- Manage the operation of the performance of all procedures in the Enterprise Business Analytics department.
- Collaborate with the department management team in planning, program development, human resource management, budget planning, customer satisfaction, associate safety, communication and compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Evaluate service needs and volumes and adjusts staffing levels accordingly. Maintain effective and appropriate staffing and staff scheduling to ensure goals are met.
- Promote staff flexibility and cross-training. Provides communication to associates through huddles, staff meetings and other forms of communication to relay updates regarding department updates, organizational activities, financial performance, educational opportunities, interdepartmental activities and QI activities.
- Responsible for problem solving to address issues relating to customer service.
- Participate in interdisciplinary committees throughout the organization. Manage human resource functions such as interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development.
- Maintain personnel files, including documentation of appropriate staff orientation, competency, training, discipline and performance reviews. Oversee department timekeeping and payroll. Collaborate with HR concerning employee issues and performance. Conduct employee coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions and annual appraisals. Monitors staff adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Your experience.

- BS/BA in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or a related field, required
- Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or a related field, preferred
- Prefer SQL Certification, Tableau Certification, and / or Scrum Certification
- Five (5) years of experience required. Solid experience in data architecture and analytic Project management and Agile experience, required
- Proven success with database design, development, management, modeling, and warehousing. Experience in one or more of the following: API Development, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, C, C#, Python, REST, JSON; Alteryx, Visual Studio, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, Business Objects; Database and Data Warehouse design, ETL, XML, UML, MDX, DAX; Hadoop, Hive, ODBC; Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Cache, Postgress, Mongo, Hbase, required
