Correctional Health Services Administrator I

$82,704 - $102,768 Annual Range

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a seasoned health care administrator to provide planning, direction, and evaluation of services and programs to meet the needs of for a medium-sized health care program, including hospital, psychiatric, and dental services at Calipatria State Prison.

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer or the Chief Support Executive, you will:

• Plan, organize, and direct allied health care support services and administrative support activities.
• Review, develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures to promote efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective delivery of clinical care and health-related services.
• Oversee administrative, contracts, and materials and stores operations, including negotiating, managing, and monitoring local health care contracts.
• Participate in recruiting, selecting, training, and evaluating staff.
• Develop, review, and coordinate budget and expenditure change proposals to address evolving health care services and administrative support needs.

To qualify for this role, you must have:

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in medical health care administration, with a minimum two years of directing two or more administrative management and support services comparable to those found in a large hospital.(a post Baccalaureate Degree in Hospital Administration or closely related field may be substituted for one year of experience)
• Education equivalent to graduation from college with a major in hospital administration or in a related field (additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis)
