Job Summary
Translates business strategy into concrete solutions, designs, architectures and supports the execution of the architectures in the support of strategy. Responsibilities include the creation of strategies aligning IT to the organization, development of IT strategies, identification and analysis of the organization's drivers to derive useful context, and analysis of the current IT ecosystem to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Architects interface across all departments, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. Conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions. Involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
Job Duties
- Leads domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction.
- Aligns architectural strategy with business requirements.
- Leads in the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs.
- future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
- Develops policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.
- Designs standard configurations and patterns.
- Gathers and analyzes data and develops architectural requirements at program and strategy level.
- Aligns architectural requirements with IT and business strategy.
- Coordinates, and if needed leads, the architecture implementation and modification activities.
- Assists in post-implementation continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
- Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solution.
- Works closely with project management to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered.
- Performs ongoing architecture quality review activities relative to specific project and programs they are responsible for.
- Provides strategic consultation to clients and IT teams.
- Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.
- Consults on Institute-facing projects and maintains knowledge of their progress.
- Develops and advocates the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results.
- Provides recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment.
- Advises and is accountable to maintain budget on expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components.

Position Details
Key Requirements:
- Works cross-functionally with technical and business leadership to establish an architectural plan across multiple solution areas, in consideration of the product roadmaps
- Strong Salesforce integration knowledge
- Strong technical knowledge in delivering CRM solutions using Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Tableau)
- Experience managing development resources and vendor partners in a particular technical area (those being configuration, customization, data migration, integration)
- Salesforce System and Application Architect certifications preferred
CRM Enterprise Architect Core Responsibilities:
- Lead Salesforce CoE team to design and implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices, and code quality techniques
- Collaborate with CoE project teams for solution architecture, estimates, delivery, etc.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with key technology leaders, product owners, and subject matter experts
- Design and implement technical solutions to satisfy CRM functional and non-functional requirements while ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Maintain thorough subject matter expertise of the CRM functionality, data models and solution architectures
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps; Salesforce integration tools and best practices; and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange
