Job Summary
This position coordinates and manages the Learning Management System (LMS). Responsible for all elements of maintaining and administering the LMS, such admin user access permission and system-based course assignments. Collaborates with instructional designers on publishing courses. Maintains relationship with IT and the vendor for system access, database management and installing updates. Keeps up to date on new functions/features released by the vendor. Makes recommendations on and plans implementation of features that enhance the learner experience. Provides end user support on technical aspects of the system.
Job Duties
- Performs day-to-day functions within the LMS such as maintaining user database, assigning required learning modules, creating and uploading online modules, and maintaining system functions.
- Perform needs analysis on requests. Propose solutions that fit within the scope of the LMS's capabilities and aligns with organizational strategy and needs.
- Performs system testing for changes/updates to the LMS.
- Assists in troubleshooting LMS system issues.
- Documents processes or contributes to user manuals.
- Provides end-user support on technical aspects of the LMS
- Coordinates and monitors data entry with training administrators and assists in end user training of LMS application.
- Assists with special projects that may involve the analysis of the data within the LMS.
- Supports unit super-users, trainers and administrative staff on entering data, pulling reports, and performing other functions in the LMS.
- Tests 3rd party software and content for integration into the LMS and serves as liaison to outside vendor as LMS subject matter expert when needed.
- Acts as a software vendor liaison, in partnership with IT.
- Maintains custom tools and reports.

Position Details
At least 2 years experience working with the administrative functions of a learning management system preferred
Bachelor's degree in an education, IT, or human resources related area preferred
