Position Summary: The Executive Director of Patient Access is responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive, system-wide financial clearance plan for scheduled patients in the health system. The Executive Director brings innovative thought and strategic vision into developing new and efficient ways to create the ideal patient experience, while ensuring data quality and optimal revenue recovery. The Executive Director makes transformative changes in existing processes to reduce denials and streamline front end operations. The Executive Director oversees delivery of services that facilitate easy & seamless patient access to the MultiCare system; avoids bad debt related to unauthorized hospitalizations or procedures, incorrect patient payer or demographic data, and enhances customer satisfaction with access services.
Minimum Requirements: Ten (10) years acute care hospital or health system access services experience in a professional capacity with mastery of the Access Services function Systems experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Five (5) years management experience Healthcare experience required
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Hospital Administration, or related field OR CPA required
