The Director – Patient Revenue Management has overall responsibility for the design, development and implementation of compliant charge capture, coding and billing for the enterprise. This position would ensure a lean workforce is adopted to address cross-functional team engagements specifically: service line operations, revenue cycle, finance and IT teams), project managing resource needs and constraints, reporting project status, overseeing management of issues and risks, and planning / delivering communication to institutional stakeholders. The Director will also be involved in the financial process related to third party reimbursement activities and analytical studies required for revenue streams.
Working with managed care and operational stakeholders, the director leads the enterprise in the identification, resolution and prevention of payer denials. The Director establishes and monitors appropriate revenue cycle performance benchmarks for the organization and employees consistent with best practice industry standards. The Director ensures compliance with all regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
BA/BS degree required
Masters Degree in Business Administration or other advanced degree highly desired.
Eight years of progressive management and/or consulting experience in a healthcare environment is required, of which 5 of those years should be in management with progressive leadership positions within the health insurance, health care delivery and/or management consulting industries.
