Duke Primary Care is the largest primary care network in the greater Triangle area with family medicine and internal medicine providers, and pediatricians in 34 locations throughout the Triangle.
Position Title: Financial Analyst III- Revenue Management
Coordinate initiatives related to revenue management including denial management, late charges, charge capture, and charge master maintenance. This position will primarily support Duke Primary Care (DPC) and Duke Health and Well-Being (DHW). A successful applicant must possess the ability to adapt to an evolving environment, possess excellent change management and project management skills and be detail oriented. Prior experience with Duke Medicine entities is a plus.
Coordinate charge master activities between operational managers, PRMO, and other areas as needed.
Coordinate preparation of forecast and annual budget for volume and gross revenue for DPC and DHW.
Coordinate month and year-end processes related to revenue including but not limited to preparation of volume, RVU, payor mix and service analysis reports.
Coordinate activities between the PRMO and unit managers; identify, analyze, and resolve problems that interfere with the process of accurately registering, charging, billing, and collecting for services provided to Health System patients.
Coordinate initiatives related to revenue management including, but not limited to, denial management, late charges, charge capture, price reviews, and other revenue cycle activities.
Assist in the development, implementation, and management of revenue cycle systems and policies and procedures as appropriate.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Coding and/or patient accounting experience in health system environment is preferred.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education: Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. CPA is desirable.
Experience: Work requires a minimum of six years' experience in financial management, cost accounting or a field directly related to specialized area of assignment.
