The System Standards - Process Owner provides a single point of contact for a defined set of BSWH business areas for understanding business requests made to the Information Systems (IS) organization. The IS Planning Consultant role is responsible for defining processes, building and maintaining tools and assisting IS executive leadership with system wide initiatives. The role requires a person who must be action and results-oriented, a "take-charge" leader with strong communications (written and spoken), leadership and business consulting skills.
Work with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to define, document, and maintain a list of IS standard hardware options.
Work with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to define, document, and maintain a list of IS standard software options.
Work with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to model the IS standard hardware and software footprints for common facility types.
Aid in the tracking and managing the pool of available and committed hours for accomplishing IS Projects.
Assist with configuring and operating the ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) module.
Lead or provide key role on large, IS initiatives at the direction IS executive leadership.
Assist with LEAN huddles and process improvement for IS Plan team.
Key attributes of a successful IS Planning Consultant candidate includes:
Organization and coordination skills.
Detail oriented and a self-starter.
Effectively working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
IT knowledge ideally within a healthcare setting.
Basic financial and business acumen.
Willingness to continually learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Visio.
Prior experience for a successful IS Planning Consultant candidate includes:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related fields.
Experience in IT is required.
Experience in business development, operational management or project management is desired.
Experience with process definition and documentation.
Experience with ServiceNow PPM is desired.
Experience and knowledge of ITIL Service Management is desired.
