This position’s primary responsibility is to provide coordination, teaching, coaching, and facilitation to individuals and organization-wide MC*21 Management System activities (MC*21MS) through the use of lean philosophy and principles. This individual will work under the direction of the Executive Director to prepare for MC*21MS process improvement lean projects, independently assess, plan and lead, provide support to front-line teams in their understanding of performance opportunities, maintain in-depth ROI tracking, and assist in the preparation of summary reports for the Lean Steering Committee, Campus Advance Teams and other target audiences to support decision-making.
Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, MC*21 Management System:
Leads and/or coaches departmental, cross departmental, and enterprise wide breakthrough improvement (e.g. process design, process improvement, workplace organization, space design, lean management system design and implementation) by providing support throughout assessment & planning, implementation, and sustainment phases to facilitate the change management and produce positive outcomes.
Effectively communicates orally and in writing with diverse groups of people at the campus and system-wide level to share learning from lean work.
Models the MC*21 MS as the core management strategy and philosophy for MemorialCare through a commitment to change for the overall benefit of the organization.
Utilizes standard techniques and methods (specific to MC*21MS and including financial, efficiency, quality, safety and experience/satisfaction related) to produce a robust tracking system for metrics and expected operational improvements. Applies lean principles and methodology and utilizes lean tools when aggregating and interpreting data.
Contributes to continuous learning and advancement system-wide and MC*21 MS team member education and training through participation in the Lean Leader and Lean Fellow programs.
Contributes to the development of MC*21 MS infrastructure and applies Lean principles in developing and maintaining MC*21 MS processes and tools.
