Registered Nurse CVICU Supervisor Day Job

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all activities of assigned employees in the clinical office. Works with manager to ensure practice is managed according to established standards and provides overall day to day leadership and supervision of employees and programs.

The Clinical Supervisor supervises daily activities of Clinical Office to ensure efficient operations by organizing work in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring continuity of service and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Supervisor ensures employees adhere to standards of behavior, corporate policies and practices, patient satisfaction standards, manages clinic desk operations, oversees compliance and training, ensures applicable license and certifications are maintained, and serves as clinical onsite contact for Physicians, Administration and Staff.

The Clinical Supervisor builds teamwork and maintains effective communication, collaborates with leadership and necessary departments to investigate, resolve, and document resolution of patient complaints, implements plans with clinic leadership, oversees activities including interviewing, makes hiring recommendations, orienting, evaluating, coaching and team building activities, assists with disciplinary actions, and maintains safety of patients, family members, staff and self during all activities.

The ideal Clinical Supervisor candidate within six months of hire, must be capable of performing the duties of clinical staff, has a basic understanding of the revenue cycle and how the work unit fits into the overall scheme, has a professional demeanor and appearance, and has good problem solving skills. The candidate has the ability to relate to others including patients, employees, coworkers, senior management, vendors and general public, two to three years experience in a related field, healthcare, customer service, call center of insurance industry is required with preference for healthcare experience, supervisory experience is preferred along with a preference for demonstrated teaching and mentoring skills.
