Provides centralized management for Revenue Management service initiatives for each entity within the Revenue Management of the Geisinger Health System (GHS). Directs, manages, supervises, implements and maintains efficient operations of the Geisinger Health System Revenue Management programs.
Generates sufficient revenue and cash flow to support GHS operations and strategic initiatives. The primary role is to ensure a very accurate, timely submission and reconciliation process for both professional and facility services. Responsibilities include managing, formulating new programs, identifying areas of opportunity for program improvement, analyzing current work flow, reducing duplication of effort while increasing efficiency and resolving any hospital and professional capture related issues including coordinating policy and guidance. Assists with the establishment of a training program and various educational forums for all revenue cycle and GHS associates. This will also include the communication of ongoing enhancements relative to process improvement and employee development. Oversees the performance and integrity of the department through accurate reporting, monitoring, and training.
Responsibilities include the oversight of staff and daily functions for all revenue capture within Revenue Management of Geisinger Health System. Responsibilities further include the management of over fifty (50) FTE's. This includes revenue capture of approximately $1.3 billion in gross revenue monthly and over $13 billion annually.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field required. Master's in related field preferred.
Minimum seven (7) years supervisory or management experience in health care related Revenue Management responsibilities required.
In lieu of a degree, may consider a minimum of 15 years managerial experience in an integrated delivery system.
Thorough knowledge of CPT-4 procedure, ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnosis, APC, and DRG coding required. Comprehensive knowledge of EPIC, IDX, SMS, and Epremis billing systems preferred.
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
