The company now seeks a Vice President of Consulting Strategy who will be responsible for the strategy, relationship management, education, and ongoing development of alignment with the large consulting practices of WillisTowersWatson, Aon, Mercer, Lockton, Gallagher and others in the U.S.
This is a highly visible and impactful senior leadership opportunity to drive the consulting partner strategy and relationships, leading a team of 4 regional directors and teams. This individual will be responsible for developing strategies and designing solutions with clients as well as developing joint, mutually beneficial solutions with these partners.
First and foremost, we seek a health and benefits senior executive with strong relationships with the large health and benefits consulting firms. This individual should have experience around business development of strategic alliance development for complex, multi-stakeholder solutions. SaaS, health and welfare benefits, healthcare capital equipment, healthcare IT, health and welfare benefits outsourcing, or benefits software experience is desired.
Ideally, we seek a senior executive with at least 12-15 years of consulting relations or business development experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity. Someone who has had a leadership position within a large consulting practice would be highly valued.
The successful candidate must have the ability to manage and lead a high performing business development team. They must embrace and thrive in a culture of transparency, accountability, and trust. We seek a self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints. The VP of Consulting Strategy must be able to navigate the strategic levels of customer organizations, identify key decision-makers, build relationships with senior executives and schedule meetings with key stakeholders.
We seek a senior leader to establish strong team relationships with a matrixed organization. He/She must be able to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. They must possess account knowledge, executive-level customer contacts and industry relationships inside the employer market space. We seek someone with a strong command of social media for the benefit of lead generation, gaining access to executives and networking with key stakeholders. This individual must also have a demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate complex contracts.
