Vice President/Associate Chief Nursing Officer City of Hope National Medical Center Orange County, CA
City of Hope National Medical Center, a world leader in cancer research, treatment, and prevention, is seeking a Vice President/Associate Chief Nursing Officer to lead the design, development, and implementation of their Orange County campus. City of Hope National Medical Center (COH NMC), an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and one of only 11 freestanding cancer hospitals in the country, is developing a world class comprehensive cancer campus in Irvine, CA, bringing highly specialized care, clinical trials, precision medicine, and early detection to Orange County. The state of the art, $1 billion campus is expected to open in 2021, followed by the opening of a 40-bed hospital focused exclusively on treating and curing cancer. COH Orange County (COH OC) will also include additional clinical locations providing medical oncology and infusion services, ensuring easy access to care, with the first site in Newport Beach.
Establish and implement standardized clinical care including policies and procedures.
All nursing care and the professional practice of nursing, including all inpatient and outpatient clinical activities for COH OC.
Supports sound fiscal and human resource practices.
Provides effective leadership to achieve the organization’s strategic plan.
Responsible for quality, safety, innovation and overall process improvement helping to lead the organization to new and better ways of providing cancer care.
Facilitate clinical research.
Master of Science in Nursing required. PhD/DNP preferred.
Certification in nursing specialty and or leadership.
Fifteen years Nursing experience with a minimum of 10 years in nursing leadership.
Experience in cancer care, preferably in an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Proven track record of strategic programmatic leadership.
Ability to engage and influence physicians, staff, and leadership to implement change through effective communication and data driven decision making.
Experience in the design, development, and implementation of a new campus/cancer program.
