Responsible for managing a platform-wide Regulatory Performance Improvement program to monitor compliance to regulations and standards governing the operation of hospitals and the delivery of patient care services, as established by federal and state mandates, CMS, accreditation bodies as well as internal policies and procedures in meeting the health system s mission and stated goals. Responsibility involves on-going education and consultation with department leaders, operations managers and administrators to keep them advised of current requirements and/or changes; monitoring hospital-wide compliance on an on-going basis; insuring proper procedures for reporting and documenting conformance to standards; and developing methods for corrective action when problems are identified. Provides direction and leadership to the platform Performance Improvement program. Manages complex projects, facilitates change and regulatory improvements in quality and safety. Maintains overall fiscal responsibility for the department. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Clinical Enterprise.

Demonstrates knowledge of hospital routine, organization and functions; demonstrates ability to monitor and conduct analysis of hospital operating procedures, identify problems and critical factors and develop methods for corrective action; demonstrates ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, physicians, hospital managers, and other health care professionals.
Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement principles, processes and methods.
Demonstrates ability to conduct training sessions on improvement principles, processes and methods.
Demonstrates effective project management skills including team management and strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
Demonstrates ability to effectively lead/facilitate interdisciplinary teams to achieve targeted results.
Demonstrates ability to function with a high level of self-direction.
Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills and active listening skills
Minimum five years of direct clinical experience required.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential or equivalent credential preferred. Need to obtain within 3 years in this position.

Moderate amount of travel required across entire system.
