Promote and provide education to Geisinger patients regarding health care coverage options for Medicare eligible patients.Approach eligible patients to educate on Medicare and coverage options.Collect contact information and secure authorization from interested patients for follow-up from the sales team.Complete data entry with information of interested patients.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and follow all Federal and State regulations around marketing, sales and enrollment.Study, test and certify on all required/mandated training.Follow approved group and individual presentations and meet compliance metrics during all presentations
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of the insurance industry's trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters.
Knowledge and understanding of state laws and regulations affecting insurance practices.
Knowledge of health insurance products, market segments and marketplaces.
Knowledge of the general components of insurance products, how those components are inter-related, and how they may or may not appeal to different customers or markets under varied circumstances.
Knowledge of policy language and endorsements to tailor new or manuscript coverage to meet customers' needs.
Demonstrates advanced organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers or workstations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Required:Minimum 1-year Customer Service experience
Required:High School Diploma or GED
