How You’ll Make a Difference:
Responsible for directing the operations of five nursing units, integrating operational and clinical management, providing a full continuum of inpatient services, and managing to improve organization effectiveness and increase revenues while coordinates and manages all resources.
Areas of Oversight/Participation:
The practice of professional nursing and the delivery of nursing care
Recruitment and retention strategies
Orientation and continuing education programs
Quality of patient care provided by all department staff
Customer and patient satisfaction
Facilitates evidence-based nursing and encourages the utilization of evidence in practice.
Shared governance councils and promotes new approaches and concepts.
Department’s compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation, and other regulatory bodies.
What You Need to Bring to the Table
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Registered Nursing license in the state of practice
Seven years of experience in nursing leadership which includes: management of multiple, large, complex acute care departments.
Including three years of experience managing staff and budgets.
Magnet designation experience highly desirable
Demonstrated business, financial, and clinical skills to manage the operations of assigned departments to ensure high quality, patient focused care.
Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills with the ability to develop and coach staff as well as the ability to delegate appropriately.
Well-developed oral and written communication, listening and critical thinking skills.
