Grady Health System is a pillar of the Atlanta community due to its mission, nationally recognized care, most notably trauma, and nationally recognized training programs in partnership with Emory and Morehouse Schools of Medicine. Given it prominence in the Atlanta community it continues to receive significant philanthropic and business support which has been instrumental in several recent renovations and new construction. Grady Health System is a financially stable, comprehensive health services delivery system ($1.2B Net Revenue, 7,200 employees) and is an essential community asset providing high quality, culturally competent, cost-effective and customer-focused health care to residents of Fulton and DeKalb Counties in Georgia.
The system consists of the 953-bed Grady Memorial Hospital, one of the largest teaching facilities in the U.S., and affiliated primary and specialty ambulatory care services at the main hospital campus and at six Neighborhood Health Centers located around Fulton and DeKalb counties. A key critical priority has been the continued expansion of its ambulatory footprint to meet patient needs closer to home.
Grady operates several unique and critical service lines caring for patients in the region including: the only nationally verified Level I Trauma Center, a nationally verified Burn Center and the Poison Control Center. In addition, Grady is home to the leading Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center, the Correll Cardiac Center and the Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence. Grady’s Ponce Center is a globally recognized treatment and research center for HIV/AIDS care.
