JOB TITLE: Intern (College) LOCATION: Shamokin - Main Hospital DEPARTMENT: Clinical Operations WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Temporary Part Time
JOB SUMMARY: The intern would participate in the following basic admin/hospital functions: administrative office communications, miscellaneous spreadsheet development, data analysis for Geisinger leadership, attend campus leadership meetings, prepare dashboards/Power Points etc. for those meetings, and administrative projects as assigned. Performs basic administrative office roles as needed as well as financial projects
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Student should be able to:
Demonstrate competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills, as well as leadership and financial/accounting skills
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Business Administration, Health or Health Policy Administration, Accounting or Finance Management Majors who have completed 2 years of full-time academic study. Minimum GPA 2.5 required.
No previous experience required
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office setting.
