JOB SUMMARY: Chaplain Associate will provide spiritual care in an interfaith, healthcare setting. Chaplain will work as a part of a team of chaplains providing direct care and support to patients, families and staff. Chaplain will support educational mission of department including working in conjunction with ACPE program to train and mentor chaplain students.

Demonstrates the ability to provide spiritual care in an interfaith milieu.
Demonstrates high quality communication skills, verbal and written
Demonstrates the ability to chart electronically.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. HS Graduation required.
Minimum of one unit of CPE required.
Ordained, Licensed, or Commissioned by recognized denomination or faith group required.
Ecclesiastical Endorsement or a statement of good standing from denomination required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office or clinical environment.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC) Located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region’s only Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics.
