Froedtert Health, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced and collaborative executive for the role of Senior Vice President, Froedtert Health and Chief Operations Officer, Froedtert Hospital (COO).
Froedtert Hospital is the adult academic affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and is staffed by MCW physicians providing care in all medical specialties and subspecialties. Froedtert Hospital is a Vizient top 15 performing academic medical center, has received its third Magnet designation, is considered a Truven Health Analytics Top 100 Hospital and is ranked by US News & World Report in a number of specialties.
The COO will be responsible for the planning, development and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Hospital and ambulatory services including new operational initiatives, establishing best practices, operational standardization and optimization, and integration of health system initiatives. With the recent acquisition of BlueMound Road Hospital and the continued growth of clinical programs to serve the region, Froedtert Health is incrementally expanding Froedtert Hospital's bed capacity over the next two years, with an anticipated increase to 800 beds by 2021. The COO will have responsibility for operations across this expanded clinical footprint.
The COO is a member of the Froedtert Hospital senior executive team and will work in a close triad partnership with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). She/he will lead the continued financial and operational efficiencies, promote a culture of accountability and continued process improvement, and sustain and build Froedtert Hospital’s standing as a preeminent academic referral center.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years of substantive leadership in a complex and high performing academic medical center; a Master's degree is required. The COO must have experience successfully developing a culture of performance excellence and possess an open and collaborative leadership style.
