Administrative Director Operations provides senior level leadership to organize the service line strategies, operational outcomes, staffing resources and team collaboration involving the wide range of clinical and support services of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon including: Food and Nutrition Services, Clinical Engineering, and Security/Guest Services. Collaborates with Hospital Leadership and Physician Medical Directors to develop and implement service line clinical and operational strategies including resource allocation, clinical outcome targets, and operational parameters. The incumbent interfaces with a matrix of other service line leaders within the Hospital to achieve quality and growth targets, and to deliver exceptional patient services/experience. Additionally, manages multiple complex vendor relationships that are vital to sustain and provide growth opportunities for clinical and support services programs.
The incumbent has accountability to administer and integrate the activities and resources of assigned departments within the overall strategic direction of SSM Health to ensure coordinated and integrated working relationships across the larger SSM region. The Administrative Director is responsible for developing and aligning business performance and operational excellence in assigned operations employing lean methodology. This position is an integral part of the senior leadership team of SSM Health and is a key participant in developing hospital wide strategy and planning, establishment of operating targets, and measurement of results.

Builds an effective team that helps the assigned support departments, establishes and achieves departmental and entity outcomes. Creates an environment of teamwork and cooperation.
Ensures financial stewardship by overseeing appropriate staffing, monitoring financial results and productivity, assisting with budget measures and capital preparation, and teaching financial skills to directors.
Supervises and evaluates quality of care given by team members based on patient needs and professional judgments. Ensures effective communication and education are provided to staff, physicians, patients, and families in order to create an environment of exceptional patient care.

Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience in a healthcare environment, including service line and profit/loss accountability.
Prior experience at administration levels with exposure to overall hospital management, medical staff relations, patient care processes, and governance.
