Sarah Cannon Research is the research arm of HCA Healthcare’s global cancer institute, Sarah Cannon. Sarah Cannon’s network of strategic sites includes more than 275 physicians who engage in research. Reporting to the CEO, the COO of Research will provide overall strategic and operational leadership and direction for all divisions of the Sarah Cannon Research. The COO of Research will serve to coordinate cross-organization and department efforts and will oversee all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to Sarah Cannon's research business operations. It is expected that the COO will participate in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the Sarah Cannon Research mission and execute growth plans for future opportunities.
The successful candidate will have at least five years broad executive leadership experience within an academic health system, clinical research organization, and/or industry. They will have well-established strategic, fiscal, management, communication, and interpersonal skills along with a genuine passion for patient care, and clinical research, particularly in the cancer area.
