Missoula Bone & Joint Surgery Center is seeking an ASC Clinical Director. We are taking the next step and are building a new 32k sq ft ambulatory surgery center to accommodate 23 hr stays. This position serves as a Leader and Role Model in the operations of the surgery center. Responsible for supervising and directing patient care and staff in all clinical areas of the facility according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives assuring a safe environment for both patients and employees. Oversees the acquisition of and maintenance of operative equipment, supplies and instrumentation. Coordinates and directs patient care and related activities of the facility according to accepted standards. Works in conjunction with the CEO for the fiscal activities of the clinical services. Oversees patient scheduling in all clinical areas. Analyzes and evaluates patient care to improve quality of care given. Works closely with administrative and medical staff in coordinating patient-care service functions. Coordinates all regulatory and accreditation surveys successfully and in a timely manner. Maintains employee records, surgical records, unusual occurrence data and hazard control information.
Required: High school graduate or GED certificate recipient - Graduate of accredited school of nursing/BSN - RN with active MT license - BLS/ACLS Certification - CPR certification - Demonstrated proficiency as OR Circulator RN, PACU or ICU experience - Healthcare-management experience - Minimum 3 years supervisory experience - Evidence of leadership qualities - Strong ethical and moral character references - Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English - ASC experience - 3 years minimum experience in an ASC setting - Negative TB or negative chest x-ray and HBV - MS Word and MS Excel proficiency - Competence in basic principles of finance.
Preferred: Master's degree in nursing. Outpatient total joints and outpatient spine experience.
