We are recruiting for a Senior Director, Information Systems Administration and Budgeting to join our Information Systems Department in Louisville, Kentucky.
Oversees and administers the policies, procedures, and activities of the IS Administration area, including recruiting, contingent labor, and related financial aspects of the Information Systems Department. Oversees and administers the staff, policies, procedures, and activities in the area of capital and operational budgets.
Responsible for the vision and direction of the Finance and Accounting staff.
Exercises high level of discretion in the areas of general ledger review, budgets, and vendor management.
Assists DVP of IS Finance and Administration in the preparation of operational and capital budgets
Prepare capital project expense forecasting as needed and work with the project leaders to ensure costs are within budget guidelines
Work collaboratively with project leaders to develop cost justifications and ROI on major projects
Directly engaged with all levels of the IS Department, including Executive management.
Coordinates IS Staffing audit requests from Internal Audit Department and external auditors.
Completes ongoing negotiation of I/S department contracts relating to outside contingent labor.
Assists DVP of IS Finance and Administration in ensuring that terms of the outside contingent labor vendor contracts are properly enforced.
Manages Kindred's relationship with contingent labor vendors.
Reviews payments to contingent labor vendors for appropriateness.
Prepares annual employee and contingent labor operating budgets.
Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Proven management and leadership skills.
Ability to perform independently.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Negotiating skills and understanding of financial implications of contract terms.
Knowledge of budgeting process.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Proven management skills to deal with other managers and staff in complex business situations with little scheduling latitude.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
CPA or CMA preferred
7-10 years in accounting management environment.
5 years in IS Finance environment.
10 years of experience providing IS Administration support, including 5 years of contract administration/budgeting and human resources related experience.
A combination of education and less experience may qualify.
Depending on a candidate's qualifications, this position may be filled at a different level.
