The Data Analyst of the CHRISTUS Command Center for the South Texas ministry of CHRISTUS Health possesses knowledge of quality improvement principles and statistics commonly used in data extraction, analytics, and performance improvement. Responsible for compiling, producing and analyzing reports and statistical information for CHRISTUS Command Center operations. Evaluates, examines, and dissects healthcare data and reporting trends and strategies to support business needs. Strategizes and communicates analytical results to leadership teams to advance operational outcomes at a system, ministry and facility level. Plans, designs and deploys Hospital Transfer and Bed Utilization data reporting processes which closely align and support the changing needs of the CHRISTUS Command Center and regional hospital patient admissions and transfers.
Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in study of Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science/Information Technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc) with preferable advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
SQL, SAAS, proficiency preferred
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to present complex issues to large groups.
Strong attention to detail.
Critical and analytical thinking and communication skills.
Deadline oriented and possesses the ability to multi-task with revolving high priority items.
Preferred experience with clinical information systems (EMR)
Preferred two or more years in healthcare/health system roles
Preferred two or more years of data mining experience.
Preferred two or more years in a data analyst role, preferably in healthcare
Required experience in generating reports and performing analysis on data
