The Strategy & Planning Department at Christiana Care Health System is currently recruiting for a Senior Strategic Health Planner to join their team. The Senior Health Planner is responsible for supporting senior leadership and management in advancing Christiana Care Health System’s strategy and market position through strategic planning, market analyses and business plan development.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a key resource for executive leadership and management to meet their needs for market and competitor analyses, project management and strategic planning
Identifies new business opportunities, develops proposals and business plans
Serves as strategic planning thought partner to service lines and essential services and leads the development of strategic plans, market assessments and business plans
Monitors and analyzes national, regional and local trends in the environment that impact utilization, consumer preferences, and health care delivery; creates, applies and maintains information resources
Prepares planning analyses related to market performance, service lines, demographics and research
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master of Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Policy, or health care-related field with at least five years of experience in health care administration, health care planning, or strategy. Experienced strategic planners from other fields will be considered.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to shape vague situations into a clear framework for advancement of work product and deliverables
Experience in creating and facilitating productive work groups, meetings and retreats
