Serves an integral role in the design, implementation and evaluation of the Health Plan's Quality Improvement Plan. Collaborates with the Manager, Accreditation to provide direction to Health Plan leadership related to all accreditation/compliance activities.
Assists in coordination of all process improvement activities for Geisinger Health Plan to maintain the highest-level accreditation by the National 2963Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and full compliance with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Program (QAPI). Also assists in coordinating activities to maintain compliance with Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor (DOL) and Department of Insurance (DOI) regulations. Provides reporting and clinical auditing support to assure regulatory compliance for all regulatory bodies.
Reports directly to the Manager, Accreditation.
Competencies and Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organization/time management skills and close attention to detail required.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with all common PC software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to work effectively independently as well as on teams to facilitate team development and project completion. Ability to work autonomously and be directly accountable for performance.
Strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
Education and or Experience:
Current LPN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required.
Minimum three of experience in Healthcare, Managed Care, Quality Improvement or accreditation required. Behavioral health experience preferred.
Previous experience with health-related regulatory bodies preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Independent travel may be involved in job duties.
