Provides overall strategic direction to grow Advocate Aurora Health’s (AAH) commercial net revenues through leading the system in development and execution of an enterprise-wide integrated commercial business sales strategy. Responsible for the development of an enterprise-wide strategy for commercial growth with oversight of system execution; and bridging system commercial sales efforts realized through market teams to optimize AAH as the provider of choice. Facilitates broker, payer, and employer relationships to enhance network development.
Leads develop, establishes, and directs the long term commercial sales strategy for AAH. Accountable for commercial sales targets, inclusive of integrating a shared systems vision of a long term commercial growth sales plan.
Scopes and defines programs, services, and key distribution channels thereby identifying, analyzing, negotiating, and monitoring key business opportunities to influence external commercial stakeholders through identification and alignment of AAH, employer and payer initiatives to best promote AAH's services.
Serves as the primary AAH executive accountable for direct employer relationship development.
Establishes, develops and monitors annual sales plans bridging strategic system work by collaborating across the system with key AAH leaders, and EBG leader.
Serves on the leadership team of the Enterprise Business Group (EBG) and holds accountability for overall EBG performance and financial goals. Collaborates across core strategies based on support necessary to execute key EBG priorities and leads core projects as assigned. Assumes lead accountability for the financial performance of assigned projects.
Master's Degree in Business Management or related field.
Advanced knowledge of business strategy, market and financial analysis and experience in building strategic partnerships and alliances. In-depth knowledge of integrated health care operations, payers, managed care strategy and strategic planning in complex healthcare delivery organizations.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products.
Strong understanding of health care dynamics and economics.
Leadership skills with demonstrated initiative and innovation in achieving results and the ability to create an organizational climate that encourages teamwork.
Demonstrated expert skill in identifying and executing upon system-wide strategies to drive system-wide business performance.
Demonstrated understanding of the health insurance field along with the ability to cultivate relationships with prospective and existing clients at all levels of management.
Excellent presentation, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to present concepts and information clearly. Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization including boards, senior management, and physicians with a demonstrated approach that is inclusive, through bringing all parties together when developing a strategy that will affect their operations.
