Oversees the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. Ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with state and local laws and regulations (Stark Law, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA). Ensures that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct
Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years’ experience in a healthcare environment with demonstrated leadership. Certification in Healthcare Compliance or other comparable compliance certification and knowledge of operational, financial, quality assurance and HR procedures/regulations required. Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor preferred. Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA preferred.
