Providence is calling an Assistant Manager of Environmental Services to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
This is a full-time, variable shift position.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager of Environmental Services to be responsible for administering the Housekeeping program under the guidance of the Manager. He or she will provide leadership and management of the Environmental Services Department for PRMCE and other duties as assigned, provide direct leadership to Environmental Services Supervisors, and will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, quality of service, training and staff development.
In this position you will:
Provide daily supervision of supervisory staff
Assist manager in meeting or exceeding departmental financial goals and meeting operational standards
Assist manager in addressing customer issues and concerns
Participate in the screening and selection of staff; scheduling/staffing to meet demands; assist with staff training
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in Hospital Environmental Services, including staff training, experience with MSDS defined hazards, and knowledge of personal protective equipment use and operation of powered equipment
Familiarity with DOH, Joint Commission, and other pertinent regulatory standards for EVS
Knowledge of room cleaning techniques and care of public areas
Universal safety precautions and infection control procedures
Familiar with the use of Windows based office software
Ability to operate all equipment utilized by the department
Ability to apply provisions of union contracts
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Three (3) years supervisory experience in healthcare industry and unionized staff
